Christ Harbor is a community called by Christ to make discipleing leaders by Igniting Faith that brings Eternal Purpose to Everyday Life.
Charting the Course
The Discipleship Map is “How” individuals and families are brought along the pathway of formation that fills their everyday lives with the eternal purpose God has for them.
Community
God is Eternal Community, Father, Son, and Spirit. We were created for community, with God, and with one another. Christ’s design for discipleship is that we are formed in the community of the Church.
Connection – find your place to belong
Support – find encouragement and motivation to grow
Accountability – giving and receiving this gift for growth
Formation
Created in the Image of God, deformed by sin, redeemed by Christ, we are reformed by the Holy Spirit in our deepest being.
Biblical – God’s Word is the foundation for all knowledge and truth
Theological – thinking out from Scripture, developing a Biblical worldview
Spiritual – it is the Holy Spirit who does the work in us as we surrender daily
Practical – learn to apply truth in everyday ways
Purpose
We are all created on purpose, for a purpose. Only in Christ can we know who we truly are, and what our God dreamed purpose truly is.
Discern – what you were made to do and be
Equip – what you need to fulfill your purpose
Empower – create opportunities, give permission, and release for service
